Please Step Away From The Ledge
Lets get this straight, once and for all.
1. Barack Obama is NOT a Muslim.
2. Barack Obama is NOT an Arab.
3. Barack Obama is NOT a Terrorist.
4. Barack Obama IS an American citizen by birth.
No good purpose is served when people use his middle name to link him to Arabs. No good purpose is served when they call him a terrorist. No good purpose is served when they call him a Muslim. No good purpose is served when they call him Osama. No good purpose is served when they accuse him of not being an American citizen.
There are plenty of reasons to not support Barack Obama without resorting to blatant provable untruths and other stupidities such as this.
Please stop.
Is Obama, by definition, a socialist? He might be. We won’t know for sure unless he becomes the President and implements his program. Most Democrats adhere to a theory of government control of the economy to one degree or another for social engineering purposes, and in that Obama is no different. The question is to what degree does Obama think the government should control the economy? To what degree does Obama think the government should engage in social engineering? We can say for sure that his voting record is to the left of the only proclaimed socialist in Congress. We all know politicians have one platform when they run for office and another when they are in office. Obama is no different so the only thing we can go on is his history. In that he has, at the least, skirted the far left edge of mainstream American political thought.
Is Obama weak on American strength? It looks like it so far, but again, it’s hard to say for sure. Based on what he says in this video it looks like he is going to gut the Defense Department. He has backed off that sort of language since then, but if you look at the totality of his statements over time, this is something we should be concerned about. Teddy Roosevelt said “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” Obama seems to say, “Talk big and have nothing to back it up.”
Does Obama have radical/shady friends? Yes. Of this there is no doubt. Ayers, Rezko, Wright, Khalidi, Pfleger, ACORN. These are the ones we know of. Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan lives in Chicago (and Obama admits to going to his Million Man March) so we should assume they know each other, but at this time no link has been proven. Farrakhan called Obama “The Messiah.” You can see that here.
- Ayers: We know Obama consciously attempted to minimise his relationship with Bill Ayers. First, he was just “a guy who lives in my neighborhood.” Then, just yesterday, Obama’s campaign said Obama didn’t know who Ayers was when Ayers hosted Obama’s first fundraiser. In an interview with a radio station today, Obama says (about Ayers) he “assumed he had been rehabilitated.” That interview is set to air tomorrow so it will be interesting to see the rest of it. I will say this: I don’t know what Obama meant by “rehabilitated” but I do know this is a phrase used, quite often, by Soviet era communists. Let’s be clear. I am not saying Obama is a communist, but I do find his use of this word interesting. You can see more on Ayers here.
- Resko: This is a corrupt Chicago guy (born in Syria) who bought and sold politicians and was recently convicted of that corruption. He helped Obama buy his house, but Obama has not been implicated in any wrongdoing and Obama admits it was boneheaded to have anything to do with Rezko. The prosecutor in the case has asked for a delay in his sentencing (originally scheduled for late this month) so the speculation is that he is singing like a bird and naming names to get a better deal for himself. Personally, I think it’s a political ploy to divert attention until after the election, but we’ll see.
- Wright and Pfleger. We all know about this. John McCain said it’s off limits so I’m gonna go with that.
- Khalidi: This one hasn’t been fully explored yet and there probably isn’t time before the election. To make a long story short Khalidi is a former member of the PLO who has ties to Obama. We need to know more about this relationship but don’t hold your breath. You can see more here.
- ACORN: This story is a bit more complicated. ACORN is involved with Obama in several ways and there are numerous links. ACORN is also knee deep in the mortgage meltdown and its consequent impact on the economy. For a good treatment on the relationship see this piece in the National Review by Stanley Kurtz.
Is Obama Dangerous? This isn’t the appropriate question. Every candidate for President can be considered dangerous because you never really know what you’re gonna get. Bush is proof of that. Jimmy Carter was proof of that. Lyndon Johnson was proof of that. Nixon was proof of that. The only thing we can do is examine the candidates as thoroughly as we can, trying as best we can, to get beyond the hype and BS of every politicians public face.
A more appropriate question is: Does Obama’s proven record indicate a vision of the U.S. that I share? Based on his relationships, his voting record, his accomplishments, and his background, in my mind the answer to that question is clear.

Listen - if the man is not an American Citizen then he cannot possibly run for the office of the Presidency of the United States of America. The criteria are few but specific to citizenship - so I think you are wrong or deluded.
I call Obama nothing other than one who is ill equipped to run the Office of the President in the White House. Not even the stupidest of businessmen or manufacturers will place one lacking in a well rounded experience base into a position requiring much more than a knowledge of Illinois civil law.
He has no experience and more importantly no success as a US Senator. He has led nothing save a group of mislead, deluded and malcontent self pronounced anti-Americans through the Annenberg Challenge. So to say he is not American is enough for me to say thanks but I do not wish for a child unskilled in the businesses of mature men to come near my WHite House. End of discussion - Mr Obama is not prepared to do anything except cause havoc and create mistakes both foreign and domestically and especially his weakness finances. He is like a bad and ugly wife — undesireable!!
